Accurate forecasts of hazards to a network are delivered and kept updated according to the very latest meteorological information. Radar, satellite and lightning detectors are monitored round the clock and experienced forecasters stay in regular contact with operators providing an extra level of assurance and expertise when it is most needed.

Hazards such as lightning, snow, line-icing and high winds can be forecast at a site-specific level from one hour to 15 days ahead. However, more general information about the possibilities of wet, windy, cold or hot weather on a larger geographical scale can be given up to three months ahead.
