Local weather conditions play an important role in the potential production capacity of power plants such as CCGTs. To assist with the decision-making process detailed, site specific forecasts updated daily, three-hourly or even hourly, can be delivered direct to your system from MeteoGroup.

Our forecasting technique draws on thousands of observation sites around the world to provide comprehensive coverage of key locations for your business. These individually tailored forecasts are sent via FTP or email and can be updated as often as required. Enhanced services using site data are also available for increased forecast accuracy. This technique uses regression analysis to introduce a bias that links your individual location to MeteoGroup forecast sites.

Site specific forecasts can be further refined through the continued monitoring of weather conditions on-site. A direct feed of on-site weather observations to our development centre ensures that MeteoGroup delivers the most detailed and accurate forecasts available.
