• For clients requiring site specific forecasts and observational weather data, MeteoGroup can install local, automatic weather stations.
  
  Weather stations can be set up to provide a range of meteorological data, such as wind speed, wind direction, air temperature and relative humidity. In addition, road surface temperatures and conditions can be forecast for highway winter maintenance.
  
  Following an initial site inspection, in-house meteorologists can advise on the best location for weather stations, taking into account topography, availability of power/telecoms and accessibility. Once the location has been agreed, installation begins – with MeteoGroup project managing from start to finish.

  Data collection via land line or GPRS, transmission and display is also taken care of, with clients being able to view a range of forecast information and real time observational data via the web. MeteoGroup works closely with clients to develop such web applications around individual client needs.
  
  Combining high quality forecast information with appropriate alerting systems means that every client can be equipped with the necessary information for effective decision-making.
