MeteoGroup opens new Polish weather operation

MeteoGroup, Europe’s largest private weather company, has launched a new business in Poland – MeteoGroup Polska – bringing a wide portfolio of weather products to Polish customers.

Based in Warsaw, a full forecasting office will be established taking the total number of MeteoGroup forecasting offices in Europe to six. Experienced local meteorologists are currently being recruited and will supply tailored weather information to energy, marine, road maintenance and other industrial customers, as well as providing a service for newspapers, TV and radio.

To coincide with the opening of the new business a Polish-language weather website, www.meteogroup.pl has also been launched.  This is a comprehensive weather website providing in-depth global forecasts and information for the consumer as well as extensive details of services for professional markets ranging from energy to offshore.  

Business Development Manager, Monika Muchin, will run the new office.  Monica has extensive sales experience within MeteoGroup and a good understanding of the Polish weather market.  From the new office she will continue to work with the strong Polish client-base she has built up.
