MeteoGroup to present at the APWA North American Snow Conference 2017

April 2017:  MeteoGroup, a world leading provider of B2B weather solutions, will exhibit and present at the APWA North American Snow Conference, April 23 – 27, in Des Moines, Iowa. MeteoGroup will showcase their product RoadMaster at booth #1737-1739. RoadMaster helps highways operators optimize their winter road maintenance decisions.

Providing two presentations on the topic of road weather forecasting, MeteoGroup will offer a detailed introduction into the methodology and how it can help better forecast at risk areas of road and create more efficient operations.

MeteoGroup has worked with winter road maintenance organizations for more than 20 years, in over 10 countries across Europe and North America, and will exhibit at booth #1737-1739 presenting its decision support system for winter road maintenance: RoadMaster.

The web based RoadMaster portal enables customers to plan ahead and make the right road treatment decisions in all wintry conditions, helping with the planning of staff, equipment and treatment programs. Accessible 24/7, current road condition measurements, precipitation type radar and satellite images provide up-to-date weather developments throughout any road network, while taking into account local conditions in the site-specific road condition forecasts. Individual policies can be incorporated into the system to give advice on the best time window and latest safe time to start treatment.

Included in the service, the road and winter service app (optimized for mobile use) offers easy to read, color-coded tables and graphs and the precipitation type radar, featuring real-time and forecast data is able to distinguish between rain, freezing rain and snow. Advance maintenance planning is possible with clearly depicted road weather hazards.

MeteoGroup will present two topics at the exhibition:

“The Value of Road Weather Forecasting for Municipalities” Monday 24th at 11:30am, rooms 316-317.

“Using Weather Tools to Create a More Efficient Operation” Tuesday 25th at 09:50am, Exhibitor Solutions Theater.

More information on RoadMaster and road weather information systems can be found at the MeteoGroup booth #1737-1739.
